This heirloom won the All-America Selections in 1950, the same year it was introduced by the USDA. With strong yields and great flavor, Top Crop quickly became a home garden favorite. Its smooth, straight pods form high on the plant.
- 40 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-10 days
- Maturity: 55-60 days
- Direct sow 1-1 ½” deep in full sun after danger of frost has passed. Beans need soil temperatures between 75-85° F to sprout.
- Space plants 3-6” apart; space rows 2-3’ apart.

These beans are wonderful. They are soft, flavorful, and when picked early they have no string. I just learned, beans can be planted all season, so I'm ordering more.
