Also known as an Ironhead Savoy, this mid-season Italian heirloom produces compact cabbages adorned with crinkled green leaves. Highly prized for its flavor, the Testa Di Ferro makes delicious coleslaw. Heads reach about 3 pounds.
- 300 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-14 days
- Maturity: 85 days
- Start indoors 6-8 weeks prior to last frost. Plant ½” deep in seed starting mix. Transplant in direct sun 2-3 weeks before last frost. For fall harvest, direct sow 6-8 weeks before first frost.
- Space plants 18-24” apart; space rows 24-36” apart.
