Famous for its Louisiana hot sauce namesake, this popular heirloom bears scads of flavorful, fiery 2” peppers. Bushy plants are 2’ in diameter and reach 3-6’ tall. Peppers evolve from green, to orange, to deep red when ripe. Tabasco loves sun and heat.
- 25 seeds minimum
- Germination: 21-28 days
- Maturity: 90-96 days
- Start indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost. Plant 1/4" deep in seed starting mix. Requires soil temperatures of 65-90F to germinate. Heat mat is recommended. Keep soil moist.
- Transplant in full sun when all danger of frost has passed. Bottom leaves should be just above ground level.
- Space plants 12-18” apart; space rows 2-4' apart.
