These green, oblong watermelons originated in Russia. First introduced in the U.S. by Peter Henderson and Co. in 1898, the Sweet Siberian has juicy, light pink to apricot-colored flesh. Matures in just 80 to 85 days. Produces fruit between 5 and 10 lbs.

- Germination: 5-10 days
- Maturity: 80-85 days
- Direct sow ½-1” deep in full sun after last frost or start indoors 3-4 weeks prior to last frost. Harden off seedlings before planting. Watermelon seedlings prefer not to be disturbed; direct sow is suggested.
- Sow seeds 6” apart. Space plants 18” apart in rows 6-8’ apart.
