This Japanese heirloom yields white, crisp roots with a mild sweet flavor, 4” in diameter. Delicious roasted. Younger roots are especially good raw and pickled. Plants reaching 2+ feet tall flourish in dry climates.

- Direct sow ¼-½” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked.
- Space plants 1-2” apart depending on size desired; space rows 12-18” apart.
