Sesame has a long history of cultivation around the world starting in India and Africa, then spreading to Europe and eventually to the gardens of Thomas Jefferson in Virginia. With its foxglove-like blossoms, Sesame is beautiful in the garden and loved by pollinators. Nutritious seed oil is valued for both culinary and medicinal uses. Easy-to-grow plants reach 4-6’ tall.

- Direct sow 1/4” deep in full sun after last frost date or start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Prefers rich, moist soil.
