Purple blossoms and stringless, scarlet pods flourish on sturdy vines that stretch to 8’ tall. This Chinese heirloom yields 18-22” beans that are best harvested when young and tender. Beans change from red to green once cooked and are most delicious sautéed and in stir-fries.

- Germination: 7-10 days
- Maturity: 80 days
- Soak seeds for 12 hours then direct sow 1-1 ½” deep in full sun after last spring frost or 100 days before first fall frost. Beans need soil temperatures between 75-85° F to sprout.
