Native to Eurasia and naturalized throughout North America, Purple Dead-Nettle sports purple tinged foliage and purply red spring blooms. It does not "sting" like common stinging nettle! Edible leaves can be used in salads or dried for tea. Valued for its medicinal properties. Highly nutritious. Mature plants are 8-24” tall.
- 150 seeds minimum
- Germination: 10-30 days
- After last frost, broadcast seeds in sunny location and lightly cover with soil. Keep moist but not soggy.
- Space plants 12" apart.
