Organic Navajo Tea (Thelasperma filifolium) Perennial
Also known as Hopi Tea or Greenthread, this southwestern native is valued for its medicinal properties, often brewed as a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory tea. Its low-growing habit and bright yellow blossoms make it a beautiful choice for garden borders. Navajo Tea is often used as a natural yellow dye, combining functionality with vibrant charm. Plants reach up to 26” tall. Requires well drained soil.

- Germination: 15-45 days
- Maturity: 60-120 days
- Direct sow outdoors in late fall or very early spring. Alternatively, cold stratify for 15-30 days then start indoors 5-6 weeks before last frost. Harden off seedlings and plant in well-drained soil in direct sun, keeping slightly moist. Handle carefully to avoid root disturbance.
