Pimpernel is native to Europe but naturalized in some parts of North America. A member of the primrose family, this low-growing herb spreads like a ground cover and sports tiny ¼” red flowers that bloom in spring and summer. Valued as a medicinal herb/flower. Slow to germinate but worth the wait.

- Germination: 20-50 days
- Maturity: 60-80 days
- Bloom time: June-September
- Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Press seeds into seed starting mix and cover lightly. Water and keep moist. Harden off and plant seedlings when temps reach 70°F. Direct sow after last spring frost. Cover lightly with soil and keep evenly moist. Seeds need light to germinate.
