Persian or anise basil is known as reyhan in Persia and Turkey. This fragrant variety has bright lemon and spicy anise notes. Wonderful in salads, grill marinades, and pesto. Persian basil is an exceptional companion plant, attracting pollinators to your vegetable garden while keeping pests away. Valued as a medicinal herb with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and more. Slow to flower making it a strong producer.

- Germination: 7-10 days
- Maturity: 60-80 days
- Direct sow in full sun 1/4” deep after last frost or start in doors 5-6 weeks prior to last frost. Harden off seedlings before transplanting.
- Basil prefers well-drained soil.
- Space plants 8” apart; space rows 18-24” apart.
