Cold hardy Pasque Flower, also known as Prairie Crocus, blooms in early spring around Easter. This low-growing wildflower yields copious purple blossoms with brilliant yellow centers once established a year or so after planting. Thrives in sandy, rocky soil. Valued as a medicinal flower.
- Minimum 75 seeds
- Germination: 21-28 days
- Bloom time: Early spring
- Scatter seeds in full sun/partial shade in late fall. Do not cover. Prefers well-drained soil.
- Cold stratified seed can be planted in spring. Mix seeds with moistened sand and refrigerate for 60 days. Scatter seeds on well-drained soil surface after last frost and cover lightly.
