Product Description
As an edible grain, Winter or Cereal Rye is used for bread, beer, whiskey, and livestock fodder. Winter Rye is also commonly used as a hardy and efficient winter cover crop, restoring garden and farm soil with rich organic matter while halting erosion.
- 1/2 pound seeds minimum
- Maturity:120-150 days
- For cover crop, sow anytime spring through fall. For grain crop, sow in fall and harvest the following midsummer.
- Loosen soil before scattering 25 seeds per square foot. Plant 1- 1 ½" deep. Do not plant deeper than 2”.
