The ruby beans of this Asian heirloom reach 18-24” long but are best enjoyed at 12” when they are at their tender, tasty best. Delicious stir-fried. Climbing vines are 6-9’ at maturity and require support. Lovely in the garden and easy to grow.
- 40 seeds minimum
- Germination: 4-8 days
- Maturity: 75-80 days
- Direct sow 1-1 ½” deep in full sun after danger of frost has passed. Beans need soil temperatures between 75-85° F to sprout.
- Space plants 5” apart; space rows 2-3’ apart.
