These bold, flattened magenta bulbs are both eye-catching and flavorful. A red cipollini type that matures more slowly than its yellow cousins, Red Geneva also keeps longer – up to five months! Tastes great fresh or cooked.
- 150 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-14 days
- Maturity: 105 days from transplant
- Direct sow ¼” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked. In northern climates, start indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost date. Plant multiple seeds into each container. Harden off seedlings before planting.
- Plant 2 seeds per inch in rows 12-18” apart. Thin to 4-6” apart for larger onions. To transplant, separate young plants and set 4-6” apart.
