Product Description
This beautiful, easy-to-grow variety comes from Ping Tung, Taiwan. Fruits have a vibrant lavender color and can reach lengths of up to 18 inches. Thin-skinned and never bitter, this eggplant does well in southern climates.
- 25 seeds minimum
- Germination: 10-14 days
- Maturity: 70 days
- Start indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost. Plant 1/4" deep in seed starting mix. Requires soil temperatures of 75-85F to germinate. Heating mat is recommended. Keep moist.
- Harden off and transplant in full sun when all danger of frost has passed.
- Space plants 18-24” apart; space rows 3-4' apart.

I've grown this Taiwanese eppplant for years. It has very few seeds (unlike most Japanese varieties), is never bitter, and makes great: pizza topping, stir-fry ingredient, and easy ratatouille since you don't need to peel it
