Product Description
This is the oldest known wheat variety, named Einkorn or “single grain” in German because it produces only one grain per hull. Einkorn is higher in protein and antioxidants than other wheats but lower yielding. Easy to grow but difficult to hull.
- ½ pound of seeds minimum
- Germination: 6-14 days
- Maturity: 100-140 days
- Broadcast in full sun around first frost date or up to 3 weeks before or in early spring.
- Loosen soil before scattering 20 seeds per square foot.
