A long, slender radish resembling a white carrot, the Daikon is popular in Asian cuisine. Pickle, ferment, steam, stir-fry or roast this versatile heirloom to get the most out of its mellow roots and nutrient-rich tops. Excels as a fall cover crop.
- 200 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-10 days
- Maturity: 40-45 days
- Direct sow ½” deep and 1” apart in full sun/partial shade as soon as soil can be worked. Thin seedlings to 2-3 inches apart.
- Plant again in late summer for a fall harvest.
