A delectable Danish heirloom also known as Formanova. With a long, cylindrical shape, this dark red favorite is excellent for slicing. Sweet, rich, and simple to peel, this easy-to-grow variety is particularly productive in smaller spaces because its roots grow downward not sideways.
- 200 seeds minimum
- Germination: 5-10 days
- Maturity: 50 days
- Direct sow ½” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked.
- Sow 12-15 seeds per foot; thin to 3" apart when seedlings are 1-2" tall. Plant rows 12" apart.
- Plant again in late summer for a fall harvest.
