Black Tip Wheat or Durum has a high protein content of 12-15% and is the hardest of all wheat classes. With its distinctive black awns, Black Tip is a popular decorative wheat - lovely fresh or dried. Durum flour is commonly used in pastas and some breads.
- 1/2 pound seeds minimum
- Maturity: approximately 80 days
- Broadcast in full sun mid-April through May
- Loosen soil before scattering 30-40 seeds per square foot. Plant 1/4" deep.
