This large, flattened squash is heavily lobed with deep ribbing. Originating in Southern France in the 1800s, these beautiful pumpkins start green and turn a rich brown when fully ripe. Deep orange flesh with a sweet, mild flavor ideal for cooking.
- 15 seeds minimum
- Germination: 5-10 days
- Maturity: 90-120 days
- Direct sow ½” deep in full sun after last frost date when soil is at least 70F or start indoors 3-4 weeks before planting.
- Plant 4 seeds per hill; space hills 6’ apart
- Pumpkins should not be planted in soil where melons or cucumbers were recently grown.
