This broadleaf perilla variety yields purply green leaves with a bright, minty-basil flavor commonly used in Korean cuisine. Delicious with sushi, in salads, as a garnish, or pickling herb. Korean Shiso is a fast grower and vigorous producer. Valued for medicinal properties.
- 250 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-21 days
- Maturity: 70-75 days
- Direct sow 1/4” deep in full to partial sun after last frost or start indoors 5-6 weeks prior to last frost. Harden off seedlings before transplanting.
- Prefers well-drained soil.
- Space plants 12-16” apart; space rows 18-24” apart.
