Product Description
During WWI and again during WWII, Americans took food production into their own hands as shortages threatened the US and Europe. Rural and urban gardening was encouraged in every available location – schools, parks, churches, backyards, and vacant property. The Wilson and Roosevelt administrations offered instruction for new gardeners, encouraging the production of reliable, vigorous crops that could be easily cultivated. Annie’s Home Victory Garden features 16 of the heirloom varieties that sustained American families from 1917 through 1945 – each one easy to direct sow, hardy, highly nutritious, and delicious.

Just like my grandma's
I loved going to my great grandma's house because she had gardens a lot like these. I really enjoy the history of the seeds, as well as planting them and eating them with my family.
