Product Description
A juicy heirloom muskmelon developed in Benton Harbor, MI, in the 1800s, Hearts of Gold has thick, deep orange flesh that is sweet, flavorful, and aromatic. Rinds are heavily netted but thin. Melons weigh 2-3 pounds at maturity.
- 25 seeds minimum
- Germination: 4-10 days
- Maturity: 90 days
- Direct sow ½” deep in full sun after last frost or start indoors 3-4 weeks prior to last frost date. Harden off seedlings before planting.
- Plant in hills of 6-8 seeds; thin to 3-4 plants. Hills should be 6’ apart in all directions, or plant in rows and thin to 8-12” between plants in rows 6-8” apart.

Excellent melon
One of the best melons I've grown! Got 12 melons from one plant. Ripens in August. No problems with disease or pest. Sweet flavor. Will definitely grow again.
