Early Wonder Beet (Beta vulgaris)

Product Description

As its name suggests, the Early Wonder is the best beet for a short growing season. Sweet, rhubarb-red roots mature quickly beneath robust green leaves that make a fine substitute for chard, kale or spinach. 

• 200 seeds minimum
• Germination: 5-10 days
• Maturity: 55 days
• Direct sow ½” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked.
• Sow 12-15 seeds per foot; thin to 3" apart when seedlings are 1-2" tall. Plant rows 12" apart.
• Plant again in late summer for a fall harvest.
