This American favorite has been around since the mid-1800s. A prized early cabbage, Early Jersey Wakefield is a great spring choice for gardeners with a shorter growing season. Compact, conical heads are sweet, flavorful, and very crisp.
- 300 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-14 days
- Maturity: 70-75 days
- Start indoors 6-8 weeks prior to last frost. Plant ½” deep in seed starting mix. Transplant in direct sun 2-3 weeks before last frost. For fall harvest, direct sow 6-8 weeks before first frost.
- Space plants 18-24” apart; space rows 24-36” apart.
