- Direct sow ½-1” deep in full sun after last frost or start indoors 3-4 weeks prior to last frost. Harden off seedlings before planting. Watermelon roots prefer not to be disturbed; direct sow is suggested if possible.
- Sow seeds 6” apart. Space plants 18” apart in rows 6-8’ apart.
