This late season, long storing variety yields hefty, bluish green heads with tender-crisp leaves. Danish Ballhead’s sweet, mellow flavor makes it a great choice for canning, braising, and slaws. Heads mature to 8” in diameter.
- 300 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-10 days
- Maturity: 120 days
- Start indoors in early June. Plant seeds ½” deep in seed starting mix. Transplant seedlings in direct sun. Harvest large mature heads at the end of summer.
- Space plants 18-24” apart; space rows 24-36” apart.
