Also known as Tassel Hyacinth, this old Mediterranean heirloom is flamboyant and exotic! Thomas Jefferson was among the colonial gardeners who first planted these plumed blooms. Cone shaped racemes covered with royal purple and green florets are topped with a beguiling violet tuft. Comosum is a fabulous container and border garden bulb, best planted en masse. Great for forcing.
