Product Description

This old Swiss heirloom is prized for its mild, sweet flavor and large but tender stalks. A cold hardy, fast grower, Carentan is terrific for fall-winter production. Delectable raw, roasted, grilled, and sauteed.

• 250 seeds minimum
• Germination: 5-10 days
• Maturity: 110
• Direct sow 1/8” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked. In northern climates, start indoors 8 weeks before last frost date. Plant multiple seeds into each container. Harden off seedlings before planting.
• Plant 2 per inch in rows 12-18” apart. To transplant, separate young plants and set 4-6” apart.
