The state flower of California is the quintessential American wild poppy. Electric orange blooms are carried stately on tall stems against a background of elegant lacy green foliage. Drought tolerant and best planted in large masses for stunning visual impact. This is one of the most popular poppies we offer. Blooms attract many beneficial pollinators.
- Minimum of 400 seeds per packet.
- Allow 14-21 days for germination.
- A medium variety growing up to 16 inches.
- Plant in full sun to partial shade. Plant seeds 1/16th of an inch deep, lightly covered.
- Space plants 6-8 inches apart.
- Cold stratify the seed before planting.
