Also known as Peruvian ginseng, Black Maca is an ancient South American heirloom enjoyed as a nutrient dense root vegetable and valued for its medicinal properties. Black-skinned, turnip like roots are delicious roasted or simmered into stews but are most often dried and processed for supplement powders or flour.

- Germination: 14-21 days
- Maturity: 60-70 days
- Direct sow in full sun after last frost. Press scattered seeds gently into surface but do not cover. Keep evenly moist until seedlings are established.
