White-flowered plants with lacy green foliage reach up to 6’ tall. Beautiful in shade and woodland gardens. Challenging to start from seed but worth the effort. Roots are ready for harvest after 3-5 years. Prized for medicinal uses.
- 50 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-14 days
- Refrigerate seeds for 90 days then direct sow ¼” deep in partial shade after last frost date. Cover lightly with 1” mulch.
- Composted, moist soil is best.
- Space plants 18-24” apart
