Product Description
This ancient herb with yellow flowers was believed to offer protection from evil during the Middle Ages and is often pictured in Medieval cathedrals. Valued as a medicinal herb, Avens contains tannins with astringent and anti-inflammatory properties. Roots have a clove-like taste and aroma often used for culinary purposes.
- Minimum 100 seeds
- Germination: 7-14 days
- Start indoors during late winter. Gently press seeds into seed starting media. When seedlings appear, gradually expose to light. When seedlings are big enough to handle, transfer to larger pots. Harden off slowly and transplant in full sun/partial shade after last frost.
- Space plants 12-36” inches apart.
- Hardy in zones 5-9.
