Firm, medium-sized, globe-shaped onions – pungent and flavor-packed. With a thick, brown paper coating, this is a superior storage onion. Later maturing intermediate day brown onion.
- 250 seeds minimum
- Germination: 10-21 days
- Maturity: 100 days from transplant
- Direct sow ¼” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked. In northern climates, start indoors 8 weeks before last frost date. Plant multiple seeds into each container. Harden off seedlings before planting.
- Plant 2 seeds per inch in rows 12-18” apart. Thin to 4-6” apart for larger onions. To transplant, separate young plants and set 4-6” apart.
