This lovely Iraqi heirloom yields spectacular oblong fruits weighing 12-25 pounds. Shell-like, green rinds offer protection to the watermelon’s sweet, succulent, ruby red interior. Robust vines. A vigorous producer and an exceptionally delicious variety.
- 25 seeds minimum
- Germination: 5-10 days
- Maturity: 90 days
- Direct sow ½-1” deep in full sun after last frost or start indoors 3-4 weeks prior to last frost. Harden off seedlings before planting. Watermelon seedlings prefer not to be disturbed; direct sow is suggested.
- Sow seeds 6” apart. Space plants 18” apart in rows 6-8’ apart.
